Can't Win with Hillary
Hillary publicly stated that the killing of Diallo was murder. That was the
first time I ever agreed with her about anything. Now she has withdrawn the
statement saying she "misspoke," which only proves that I can't win with
Hillary. The one time she says something straight she lacks the courage to
back it up. Here's a message for all New Yorkers. Vote for any other
candidate of your choice! Is "misspoke" and "misled" kinda the same thing?
A Clinton is a Clinton and a Clinton is a gutless master of lies.
Mission Complete
Charles Shultz's mission on earth must have been to show us ourselves and
make us laugh at ourselves. Nearly 50 years of Peanuts would seem to have
accomplished this, the final good-bye published the day after his death.
Rest in peace, Charles. Your mission is complete. We laughed, we cried, and
we saw ourselves in the characters you created. Perhaps that is what
endeared them to us all and by virtue of their spirit, endeared you to us as
well. You will be greatly missed. Signed: Charlie Brown in Spirit.
China Preparing for War?
These past weeks the Pentagon has stated that there are signs that China may
be preparing for war with the US. What was their first clue? Was it the
tension building over Taiwan? Was it the stealing of military and
technological secrets? Was it the taking over of US politics with illegal
contributions to the DNC? Maybe it was the nuclear missiles aimed at US
cities? No. Of course, it was none of those things. It was committees and
commissions appointed to study the situation. Never mind that I sat here and
read the news at no cost and drew the same conclusions over a year ago.
Seemed like a no-brainer to me. These people need to justify their jobs
somehow, I suppose.
Might as Well Suspend the Constitution
In Portland, Oregon a United Methodist church has been told by a city
official to limit worship services. I can't wait to see the battle over
Constitutional rights under the 1st Amendment this one will bring! If this
church loses this fight, the Constitution might was well be suspended. Even
if they win, it will no doubt be costly. How can any public official even
think this is acceptable in the United States under our Constitution and law?
He thinks that, because our rights under the law are gradually being eroded,
and atheists, pagans, and heathens have pushed to have religion wiped out of
our country. Rather than protecting the rights of free speech and worship,
governmental agencies are now protecting the desire of nonbelievers not to be
confronted with any signs of religion. Unfortunately, they do not see their
hypocrisy. If they have a right not to be confronted with religion, do I not
have a right not to be confronted with homosexuality, pornography, abortion,
etc.? They would say no, because THEIR agenda is all that matters to them,
and the writers of the
Constitution are dead, so who will stand up for the rights of the individual
anymore?
Montgomery, Alabama teacher Carey Jones is in jail. She should be! If
anyone had made my child urinate in front of the class in a trash can she'd
need to be in jail for protection! Which also reminds me of one reason I
have for home-schooling. Public schools refuse to monitor teachers in the
classroom as well as they should, and fail to take responsibility when
something like this happens. There is no way such a huge bureaucratic system
can provide a safe learning environment for so many children.
Tattoos & Skulls
Disgraced LAPD officers who were shown to have lied, tampered with evidence,
and committed a variety of other crimes relating to their anti-gang
assignments wore tattoos of skulls, which is one of a group of adopted
designs by some of the police elite forces. Why does this behavior in police
organizations make me wonder what separates them from the criminals? Is it
any wonder that I am as uneasy around cops as I am around crooks these days?
Hypocrisy Abounds!
In Peabody, Mass. a substitute teacher told students, "Hitler is cool." The
teacher has been barred from the city's schools as a result of that
statement. Still, we were diplomatic allies with the late King Hussein of
Jordan, who wrote in his book "My War with Israel" about lunch meetings with
Hitler when he was a young prince. His view of Hitler is that he was a
brilliant man who had a vision and was misunderstood by the world. Is it any
wonder that as King the man publicly claimed to have no knowledge that scud
missiles were flying through his airspace, hitting Israel? The real question
here is not if we agree with the teacher, but if we agree that each of us,
the teacher included, has a right to freedom of speech and expression. I
disagree wholeheartedly with what was said, but I would stand side by side
with this teacher to defend the right he had to say it! It is merely the
teacher's opinion. Perhaps the better option would be for another educator
to address the class with another view and teach debate tactics. But that
would be real education, wouldn't it?
