Lying and hypocrisy, especially from a reasonably
intelligent adult is intolerable. When a person works in
conjunction with others, and demonstrate these same character
flaws in unison, it becomes even worse, if not evil. So when
one of these crackerheads gets on TV and says, "I can't
believe this [the Elian raid] is happening in America," they
are either incredibly naive, or lying through their
hypocritical lips.
First a little truth in advertising. 15 years ago I had
to fight the great state of Illinois who thought my teenage
daughter should be allowed to quit school and run wild. I
was rudely jolted from my world as Charles Ingall's into
reality. We escaped their clutches by sending her 1,000 miles
away, only to find out later that DCFS, specifically a state
worker named Olav Christiansen (may he go to hell for
eternity), were making arrangements to have the boyfriend
join her in Texas. And that in a nutshell, led to Peggy and
I moving here with our remaining teens.
While I was fighting for my daughter, we joined
ToughLove, which I attribute to keeping me sane. A group of
us TL parents identified the state as the culprit in turning
our world upside down and destroying our families. We formed
a chapter of VOCAL (Victims of Child Abuse Laws) and fought
back. There I heard stories from parents that make the Saga
of Elian seem tame. I met a young mother, an Army veteran,
who retreated to her bathroom with her pre-schoolers,
barricaded the door, while Vermilion County Deputies broke
thru her exterior and interior doors, to place the kids into
the hands of a (nurturing) female govt servant (is that an
oxymoron?). As our group swelled to 60, these stories were
abundant. And this was happening decades ago in small town
middle America.
That's ancient history. Eight years later, another govt
"dynamic entry" (isn't the English language wonderful) which
occurred in rural Waco, showed me hadn't moved nearly far
enough. Worse than that, we couldn't move far enough. What I
had witnessed being done by state workers were now being
mimicked by the feds. After Texas, where else can you move?
Now, a few observations. Elian, free in America. In
spite of our arrogance, are we too stupid to admit there are
millions in the former USSR that if they were given a chance
to return to communism they'd do so in a Moscow heartbeat?
...and the feds are lying (what else is new) when they say
they thought there might be guns in "Elian's home." That
house has undoubtedly been bugged pillar-to-post for months
with every word on tape captured in a computer program
called Echelon, within Reno's beck-and-call. They knew no
guns existed and they knew any plans they had discussed to
resist.
As for complaints about the feds ignoring the 4th
Amendment, that's been abolished long before the 2nd. How
many talking heads have you heard say it wasn't necessary
[to get a warrant] because it wasn't a custody matter, it
was an INS matter---and that branch of the executive is
exempt from the Bill of Rights? "They go in there wearing
black ski masks to hide their identity, and then get upset
when they are called jack booted thugs! To paraphrase a
certain dietitian, you are what you wear."
