A Cruel Deception

I would like to talk a little bit about the so called “low fat diet” so many americans have been told is the way to go to be healthy and free of disease. The low-fat syndrome has been learned so well by the American people that it is ingrained. It would take five years of constant pounding to dislodge this hoax.

Low-fat means death to the people and billions for the medical industry. People leave off fat and gorge on carbohydrates, especially the combination of high carbohydrates with low protein such as hamburgers and fries, pizza, macaroni and cheese, eggs and hash browns, cereal and milk. These combinations of high carbohydrate with low protein cause the greatest increase in insulin production.

What has insulin got to do with low fat? Follow closely: Consumption of large quantities of carbohydrates produces large quantities of insulin. Now, the doctors don’t say stay off of carbohydrates, do they? What is a carbohydrate? Its sugar or anything that the body can make sugar out of. The shocker here is that our bodies make plenty of fat from carbohydrates. Dietary fat, by itself, does NOT cause cholesterol problems. It is only the combination of carbohydrates with fat that causes trouble.

A low fat, high carbohydrate diet actually strengthens an enzyme called lipoprotein lipase-a fat storing enzyme!

Therefore, a high carbohydrate diet (with low fat or no fat) leads to high insulin levels causing high blood pressure, high cholesterol and high triglyceride levels, diabetes and heart disease.

Now, wait a minute! We are told that low fat prevents all of these things. The truth is that a low-fat diet restricts fat and protein leaving us a high carbohydrate, low protein diet-the perfect combination to maximize insulin production. Again, high insulin levels leads to high blood pressure, high triglycerides, diabetes and heart disease.

The cruel deception is that it’s sugar that is causing obesity both inside and outside. Western civilization has a sugar disease, not a fat (cholesterol) disease.

Our fat paranoia is totally without fact. When the medical people cut out our fat, they force us into high carbohydrate consumption compounding the very cause of disease that they are trying to prevent.

Fat doesn’t make fat. Sugar makes fat. Eat it and die!
